Job Title: Brazer
Job Description
The position involves assembling flare tube extensions, return bends, and various copper hookup components into coils. These are joined using a brazing rod and oxygen-acetylene torch. The role requires the ability to prepare coils for brazing and to braze coils with various @types of rods. Candidates should be able to make their own setups and braze any coil that comes through the department. Additionally, the ability to read blueprints and perform simple arithmetic is essential.
Responsibilities
Assemble and braze headers and manifold components.
Braze sub-assemblies using various rods and/or braze return bends, headers, and subassemblies to coils using coil prints.
Monitor inventory levels of headers and manifold sub-assemblies.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in brazing, mechanical, and hand tools.
Experience in mechanical assembly and power tools.
Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prepare header and manifold components for brazing both on and off line.
Braze components using braze torch & braze rod BCUP 5 and Stay-Silv Brazing Flux.
Experience in brazing 180 & 360 degrees with braze torch.
Ability to braze brass fittings to copper.
Competence in using various hand tools.
Ability to read blueprints and use simple arithmetic.

Work Environment
The role is set in a large plant environment that is non-temperature controlled. Employees are expected to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.97/hr.
