Material Handler

Pay: $20-21/hour

Location: Auburn, WA

Shift: weekend shift or day shift M-F

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to provide precise inventory information for company-controlled material stock and maintain the organization and inventory of company products across multiple branch locations. You will work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts.

Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties.

Enter data for inventory into a computer and record data manually using a clipboard.

Load and unload metal materials both manually and with a forklift.

Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or directly from the mill.

Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.

Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support the movement of materials.

Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.

Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.

Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket operations.

Identify material shortages and issues and communicate them to appropriate staff.

Perform verification of scrap.

Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits.

Perform equipment preventative maintenance and cleanup.

Work Environment

Work within a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. Engage in a fast-paced environment with over 60 employees on the floor. The facility offers multiple shifts, including 1st shift from 4 am to 2:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 1 am Monday to Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $21.20/hr.
