Assembler - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek)

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembler - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek). This position is based at our Avery Creek, NC location.

Shift Hours: Friday - Sunday, 7am - 7:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

Work from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment. Determine necessary parts and material and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock. Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals/ Operate power tools, including battery powered and compressed air Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly. Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required. Execute engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required. Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach and maintain records as required.

Mechanical/Electrical background

Position Criteria:

Able to lift 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead Able to do some lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement. Able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams Proven history of safe work habits Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet, etc. Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends
