Summary DLA Piper is seeking attorneys to join our Corporate practice as part of our Professional Track Attorney program in our Chicago or Minneapolis office serving Fortune 500 global companies. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of substantive corporate transactional experience focusing on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Experience in complex cross-border transactions and global corporate restructurings is preferred but not required. Knowledge and Skills Excellent research, drafting, and writing skills. Extremely efficient, organized, and resourceful. Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail. Possess a high degree of intellect, business savvy, diligence, and self-motivation. Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and a significant workload of diverse matters in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. Ability to manage input from various stakeholders and run transactions seamlessly. Team player with a strong orientation towards a collaborative and results-oriented environment. Basic Qualifications: Juris Doctor Degree from a nationally ranked law school. Membership in the State Bar as an attorney qualified to practice law in Minnesota or Illinois 4+ years of experience practicing law with a national/international law firm. Preferred Qualifications: Cross-border mergers and acquisition transactional experience. Experience in working with local counsel globally and managing complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions. Physical Demands Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Pay Transparency The firm's expected hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $375,000 per year depending on the candidate's geographic market location. The compensation offered for employment will also be dependent on other factors including the candidate's experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
