Summary:
The Warehouse Lead oversees and manages the warehouse, receiving, production supply inventory, and personnel.
Essential Functions (mental and physical)
Oversee and supervise warehouse production supply personnel.
Allocate shift responsibilities and delegates work to subordinates.
Ensure the team is keeping and maintaining accurate records of all the inventory transactions between warehouse, scaling area and production floor to include ingredients, packaging, finished goods and other.
Verify and monitor products, raw materials, packaging and processing supplies to and from the production floor, tracking and communicating discrepancies.
Ensure the proper handling and storage of goods and supplies such as allergens, cooler storage, dry storage, freezer storage and other.
Operates equipment such as forklift, reach truck, pallet jack throughout the shift as needed.
Responsible for the development and training of the workforce to ensure continued growth and improved performance. Responsible for assuring that job duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with job description, and procedures.
Develop and implement cost efficient processes and procedures in order to realize cost savings.
Maintain an effective safety awareness program to ensure a safe working environment to include the reduction of Short-Term Disability and Workers Compensation claims.
Assist payroll in verification of time sheets, overtimes, sick days, vacations, absences and tardiness. Maintain accurate documentation of individual employee records.
Operate as an integral part of the department team interacting closely in all phases of the operation to assure production of a quality product in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Is accountable for the accomplishment of assigned tasks and projects by their completion date.
Treat all staff fairly and equally and with dignity and respect. Maintain a strong professional relationship through interaction regularly with all staff members (especially all new/temp employees) and following up on any items brought to immediate attention.
Accountable for the enforcement of procedures, general policy, work methods, equipment operation, GMP's and safety policies.
Enforces corporate policies, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to facilitate consistent, coordinated, and timely logistics operations.
Manages the efficient flow of goods, services and information.
Ensures upmost data accuracy and integrity in database.
Analyze and troubleshoot logistics functions in the warehouse to include verifying inventory.
Passes non-standard requests to Director of Warehousing or Logistics Manager for guidance (out of scope requests, new requirements, new business etc.).
Oversees all Warehouse Operations to include, but not limited to:
Warehouse inventory control and accountability
Inspecting logistical (inbound/outbound) operations
Providing support to other sites as requested
Supervising all section employees
Immediately reports inconsistencies to Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Functions
Conducts, with guidance and approval from Human Resources Department, disciplinary actions to those subordinates reporting to him/ her.
Approves vacation requests in accordance with policy.
Participates in any and all facility meeting as required.
Fully completes and submits all reports within their specified time frame of completion.
Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Supervisory Responsibility
Guides, trains and supports those reporting directly to him / her.
Has primary responsibility for the supervision of those reporting directly to him/her.

Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's Degree preferred
Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
A minimum of five years warehouse management experience with a working knowledge of food equipment, scheduling, quality assurance and food safety.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of food manufacturing processes and procedures
Thorough knowledge of material control, utilization and maximization.
Appropriate and effective administration of all personnel safety, food safety, quality procedures and guidelines.
Demonstrates effective communication skills.
Ability to set forth goals and objectives associated with continuous improvement.
Working knowledge of various regulatory requirement, as well as requirements set forth by customers.
