The Academic Technology Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the production schedule for SPH's fully online asynchronous courses, leading internal quality assurance processes, managing academic technology projects and communications, and supporting collaborative efforts to improve teaching and learning through the effective use of academic technology. This role also provides expert consultation on the design and improvement of academic technology systems and workflows, applying advanced analytical and technical skills to align schoolwide e-learning strategies with evolving pedagogical and operational needs. Primary Responsibilities Online Course Project Management - 50% Oversee the School of Public Health's online course portfolio, coordinating and maintaining a master schedule of course launches in collaboration with the Director of E-Learning Services, ELS team members, SPH program directors, division heads, and faculty. Lead a continuous Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) process that consists of ongoing, systematic quality review of all courses, including scheduling, coordination, and documentation of results. Meet regularly with the ELS Director to communicate updates, surface challenges, and align on project priorities. Track and report on project progress across multiple concurrent initiatives and stakeholders, including ELS team members, program directors and coordinators, and SPH education leadership. Academic Technology Project Coordination - 30% Serve as a technical and analytical consultant to the Director and SPH stakeholders by analyzing workflow challenges, evaluating academic technology tool usage, and recommending data-informed improvements to processes, systems, and documentation. Provide project tracking and operational support for ELS academic technologists, instructional designers, and media development staff. Contribute to cross-unit initiatives involving accessibility, technology integration, and teaching and learning support in collaboration with other academic units and University partners. Identify gaps in workflows, processes, and tool adoption and recommend strategies for improvement in academic technology support and service delivery. Coordinate and manage school-wide academic technology - 20% communications, including development and dissemination of essential communications, newsletters, and resource documentation for the SPH community. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with at least six (6) years of related experience, or a master's degree with at least four (4) years of related experience. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and concurrent timelines. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in alignment with unit and institutional goals. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree plus 6 years experience in instructional design, educational technology, public health, project management, or a related field. Experience in higher education, public health education, instructional design, or academic technology project management. Demonstrated experience supporting the design, development, and delivery of fully online asynchronous courses or other complex academic technology initiatives Familiarity with University-supported academic technologies, including Canvas (LMS), Zoom, Kaltura, and Google Workspace tools. Workingknowledge of online accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508, and their application in digital learning environments. Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with project management tools and practices (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Trello, Agile frameworks).
