Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mentor, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date records. Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts receivable and payable transactions, ensuring smooth integration between operating systems and the general ledger.

Record, verify, and post customer payments, maintaining accurate transaction records.

Handle deposits, including cash and checks, that are not scanned by technicians.

Conduct collection calls to address open customer receivable balances.

Update and maintain customer files, ensuring all information is current and accurate.

Reconcile customer receivable balances and review aging reports to align with the general ledger.

Support invoice coding, processing, and check runs to ensure timely payments.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in coding invoices and conducting check runs.

Strong skills in invoice processing and managing financial data.

Attention to detail and ability to reconcile balances accurately.

Excellent communication skills for conducting collection calls and updating customer records.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial software.

Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
