Office Support Person VI - DRO

SUMMARY

Individual performs all general clerical functions necessary to support the assigned unit. Individual will communicate in person, via phone and email with clients, attorneys, Court and other County departments, as well as Domestic Relations staff. The individual must be able to multi-task, work independently, be perceptive and have a sound knowledge and adherence to the Domestic Relations Section's office policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will represent the Domestic Relations Section and the County of Montgomery with professionalism at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in daily operations of the unit including but not limited to the establishment and enforcement of child support orders.

Case Processing including but not limited to:

Scheduling support conferences and hearings.

Processing complaints for support.

Coordinating appointments for genetic testing.

Mailing and emailing notices, orders, and other related documents.

Updating case information and records.

Docketing and processing of court orders.

Interpret obtained information to proceed to resolution or direct to appropriate staff.

Process requests for information from authorized agencies.

Provide on-site and remote support to Conference Officers and management staff.

Maintain on-site equipment as needed, such as printers and PCs.

Data entry.

Processing and distribution of daily mail.

Written and verbal communication with clients, attorneys, other County departments, other government agencies and other court jurisdictions.

Interact with clients in person as necessary.

Serve as a lead when necessary.

Maintain unit records and statistics.

Attend training sessions and workshops.

Adhere to all security and safety directives.

Ability to work a hybrid schedule, if required by unit.

Perform other duties/related work as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Professional demeanor. Emotional intelligence. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Flexible and adaptable to change. Technologically proficient, to include MS Office, Adobe, and Zoom applications. Ability to properly maintain highly confidential and sensitive information. Ability to learn and maintain working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations that impact Child Support Enforcement including but not limited to the Code of Federal Regulations, PA Rules of Civil Procedure, Intergovernmental Support laws, Hague, and the Cooperative Agreement.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.

Candidate must be willing and able to travel between floors of One Montgomery Plaza and across the street to the Court House.
