Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ephrata, Washington. In this role, you will assist with accounts payable tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial records. This is a great opportunity for candidates with basic accounting knowledge and a commitment to precision.

Responsibilities:

Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Perform data entry tasks related to invoices, procurement cards, and other financial records.

Review and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Assist in reconciling discrepancies and resolving payment issues with vendors.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records.

Support the department in catching up on backlogged accounting tasks.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.

Monitor and report on financial data to support decision-making processes.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and procedures. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a basic understanding of AP processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial tasks.

Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with accounting software.

Ability to enter invoices and handle procurement card transactions efficiently.

Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Effective communication skills to interact with vendors and team members.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
