The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, including processing accounts payable, reconciling corporate credit card statements, and handling various other transactional tasks. This role involves analyzing financial data and preparing documents and reports for both internal and external use. The position operates under general supervision and within established guidelines, with minimal direct instruction. Tasks may be routine or non-routine and are occasionally reviewed by a supervisor. The role requires professional-level work and a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), as well as familiarity with accounting concepts, theories, practices, and terminology.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Reconcile corporate credit card statements and ensure accuracy.
Handle various transactional tasks related to financial management.
Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive documents and reports.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure process adherence.
Perform routine and non-routine tasks with minimal supervision.
Essential Skills
Proficient in accounts payable and invoice processing.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and data entry.
Experience in balancing books and reconciliation processes.
Familiarity with accounts receivable processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience in accounting.
Associates Degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field is a plus.
Experience with JD Edwards Software or XPPS (MRP) Software preferred.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
