Adjunct Mathematics

The Mathematics Adjunct must be able to:
Prepare and deliver high quality daytime, weekday college level mathematics or statistics classes at the Akron or North Canton campus.
Assess student performance, keeping classroom attendance records, submission of early alerts and final grades by the required date.
Participating in professional development.
Utilize learning management systems and learning software, where necessary.
Maintain and submit student reports periodically as required by the college.
Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics OR Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Statistics is required.
Knowledge of and experience with various teaching strategies or programs.
One year or more of tutoring or teaching experience preferred, including experience supporting educational attainment among students from varied backgrounds.

These behavioral competencies have been scientifically studied and have been shown to correlate with work outcomes.
Stark State College utilizes E-Verify to ensure compliance with applicable employment eligibility laws. E-Verify is an electronic system used to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.
