Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in the Greater Philadelphia area. This Staff Accountant role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing organization by ensuring financial accuracy, supporting key accounting processes, and driving improvements in efficiency and standardization. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in accounting, thrives in a dynamic environment, and demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Handle key aspects of the monthly close process, including preparing complex journal entries, conducting reconciliations, managing accruals, processing payroll, and performing variance analysis to meet internal deadlines.

Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Manage intercompany transactions, including billing, receipts, and payable invoices.

Maintain the general ledger and uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Prepare statutory financial statements for assigned entities, from trial balance to final approvals.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper coding and compliance with financial reporting standards.

Prepare and review tax filings in coordination with external partners, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.

Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and coordinating audit requests.

Contribute to the automation and streamlining of accounting processes using NetSuite and other tools.

Assist in risk mitigation efforts and cross-training initiatives within the finance and accounting teams.

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or related studies.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant ole include and are not limited to:

2+ years of month end close experience

Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required.

SOX, US GAAP & IFRS Experience

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong problem solving.
