GST050 - Administrative Operations Coordinator I

JOB SUMMARY :

Job Summary: Under direct supervision, this position performs a wide variety of office administration duties for a specific function or program area. The duties may be complex and could involve access to confidential information.

This role may also involve researching, investigating, and resolving program data or issues.

The Admin Assistant 1 may also draft reports, presentations, or other documentation. This position represents the program or unit and provides information and assistance to both internal and external customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides administrative support to an assigned area.

Offers assistance and problem resolution to staff, claimants, employers, other agencies, and/or the general public.

Provides technical, administrative, and/or program assistance and interpretation to customers and staff.

Researches and/or resolves program or client issues and questions and prepares documents.

May represent the manager in various matters.

Supports routine administrative functions for the agency/office, such as travel expenses, vendor contracts, purchasing, payroll, and billing/credit.

Receives additional training as needed to gain full proficiency in all areas.

Entry Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED and two years of job-related experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications: An agency may add preferred qualifications in addition to the entry qualifications.
