Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Accounting Manager to support our client in the dynamic and fast-paced media industry for a 7+ month engagement. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for reviewing and approving Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger entries, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. The position includes performing monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations, and reviewing legal agreements, and verifying bank information and tax forms for customer/vendor onboarding. This position will also play a crucial role for the monthly financial close and financial reporting submission to the German HQ. Additionally, this role will assist with external financial audit ensuring a smooth and timely process. The ideal Accounting Manager will possess strong analytical skills, a strong GL background and understanding of US GAAP, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Review and approve accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries to maintain compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Evaluate customer and vendor account setups by verifying legal agreements, banking details, and tax documentation to ensure accuracy and risk compliance.

Conduct monthly reconciliations for balance sheets, bank accounts, and minimum guarantees, resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper accounting treatment.

Prepare and record quarterly adjustments, such as impairments of minimum guarantees, based on contract performance and valuation analysis.

Manage monthly financial close processes, including profit and loss reviews and anomaly identification, while providing detailed explanations to internal stakeholders.

Compile and submit monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages to the parent company, ensuring accurate mapping to their chart of accounts.

Coordinate annual external audits by organizing schedules, reviewing supporting documents, and facilitating timely responses.

Investigate irregularities and conduct research using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to ensure data accuracy.

Collaborate on ad-hoc financial projects, analyses, and reporting needs as required.

Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and managing general ledger functions.

Strong background in financial statement audits and account reconciliation.

Proficiency in preparing journal entries and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

In-depth understanding of US accounting standards and practices.

Ability to review and interpret legal agreements and tax forms for compliance.

Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
