Supervisor - Banquet/Event Setup

so, we would love to speak with you about our open Event Setup
Supervisor position! WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: This is a working
supervisor role. You will be responsible for ensuring that event spaces
are set up for each function according to client and event manager
specifications. In many cases, you will work alone. In others, you will
work as part of a team. The supervisor will act as a liaison between the
events department and the housekeeping team to schedule and communicate
with the banquet houseperson staff across all shifts. Essential
Functions: Follow detailed floor plans and set up event spaces according
to specifications. Vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, and clean windows, etc.
to maintain cleanliness of all event spaces and storage areas. Move
tables, chairs, portable bars, and client props. Schedule and
communicate with banquet houseperson staff across three shifts. Keep
inventory of closets and supply areas stocked and organized at all

functions. Experience and Skills: WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:
The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented, enjoys seeing
projects through from beginning to end, and can pivot when necessary to
accommodate changes and guest requests. Job Requirements: Position
requires physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Ability to stand for at least 8
hours at a time. Ability to practice and observe all safety procedures
Requires ability to read, write, understand, and speak in English.
Portuguese language skills a definite plus! Requires the ability to work
independently and to lead a team to ensure that event spaces are set up
according to client and event manager specifications Working
Environment: Hotel property with 94 Guest Rooms Work will primarily take
place in hotel event rooms and outdoor event deck, including storage
areas Includes both group and solo work
