Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential administrative and operational tasks while advancing your career in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will excel in data entry, payroll assistance, and general office duties while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Provide support with payroll tasks, including accurate data entry and basic troubleshooting.

Assist with human resources activities such as managing unemployment claims and other HR-related matters.

Perform month-end data entry and other accounting support duties as needed.

Create and maintain simple formulas in Excel and format spreadsheets as required.

Utilize Word for document preparation and operate standard office equipment like copiers.

Address administrative challenges by ensuring timely and accurate task completion despite high turnover.

Answer inbound calls and perform receptionist duties with professionalism.

Maintain organization and efficiency in daily office operations.

Collaborate with team members to identify and correct errors in data entry processes.

Stay flexible to work extended hours every other Monday and Wednesday, as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in administrative assistance or a similar role.

Proficiency in Excel, including basic formatting and formula creation.

Familiarity with Word and standard office equipment.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Excellent communication skills for answering calls and interacting with team members.

Problem-solving skills to address challenges such as turnover and data entry errors.
