Overview

Beaufort Organics is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented

Retail Associate

to join our team. As a key member of our retail staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, knowledgeable about our products, and committed to maintaining a well-organized and welcoming store environment.

Expectations

As a Retail Associate at Beaufort Organics, you will be expected to:

Provide

exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection and answering questions.

Adhere to the

company dress code policy and maintain a professional appearance.

Ensure

display cases are appropriately stocked before, during, and after shifts.

Rotate stock

when refilling shelves to maintain freshness and accuracy.

Keep the

back-stock room organized , rotating inventory and maintaining order.

Maintain a

tidy and clutter-free workspace , keeping personal items stored away.

Follow store policies by keeping

food and beverages away from display areas and refrigerators.

Accurately complete

sales transactions , ensuring the correct inventory batches are used.

Monitor inventory levels and

communicate any restocking needs for product strains.

Demonstrate a strong

understanding of product benefits and usage to educate customers effectively.

Daily Tasks

Opening Tasks

Deactivate the store alarm and

clock in .

Power on the

credit card machine and sign in to the computer system .

Count the cash drawer

to confirm a balance of $235, then secure it in the register.

Set up the

outdoor seating, table, and sandwich board sign (weather permitting).

Open and tie up the

front door curtain .

Verify that

display cases are properly stocked from the previous shift.

Perform quick

spot-vacuuming or dusting as needed, focusing on the register area.

Turn on the

Open sign to welcome customers.

Shift Change and Closing Tasks

Restock

the display cases to ensure products are available for the next shift.

Wash any dishes

in the sink and tidy the counter area near the fridge.

Remove any

personal food items

from the store before leaving.

Review the

Z-report

, remove the designated

deposit amount

, and place it in an envelope labeled AM.

Count the remaining cash
