Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Danvers, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in QuickBooks and Excel, along with a solid background in accounting practices. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and ensure accuracy in accounts management.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain accurate financial records.

Handle billing functions, including invoice preparation and payment tracking.

Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Oversee day-to-day accounting functions to support financial reporting and compliance.

Utilize QuickBooks Pro to maintain and update financial data efficiently.

Prepare and analyze financial reports to assist in decision-making.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and improve processes.

Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions and audit trails.

Address inquiries related to account details and financial discrepancies.

Contribute to monthly and year-end closing procedures. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Excel.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Ability to perform account reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with billing functions and financial reporting.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.

High level of accuracy and consistency in handling financial data.
