Summary of Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of WIM Banking with full business management and leadership responsibilities for this strategic growth area. This leader will be responsible for achieving WIM strategic objectives in providing Banking services to WIM Clients. The Head of Banking will lead a team of Bankers / Banking specialists responsible for all aspects of Banking services to all client segments supported by WIM through the various distribution channels used by WIM. The products provided to clients will span the range from the regular checking / savings accounts to the more complex Treasury management products.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the WIM strategic objective of increasing penetration of banking services to WIM clients by developing adoption strategies and working with WIM channel partners.
Define, measure and actively manage the WIM client experience standards for Banking products.
Improve and innovate underlying processes through the use of technology and non-tech initiatives.
Engage with Divisional CRG leaders and National Sales on all banking related initiatives.
Partner with WIM Head of Lending and WIM Head of Deposits.
Manage an organization that includes Divisional leaders for WIM Banking and WIM Banking Service team, and the Head of the Legal Specialty Group.
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Engage and influence WIM Banking business leaders, control management, risk, legal, and audit partners to successfully ensure appropriate management of business risk.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of wealth management banking experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
4+ years of team management experience
Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 and 24 examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
Desired Qualifications
8+ years in leadership positions managing large teams of bankers across Wealth Management in large, complex financial organization strongly preferred
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate effectively and cultivate strategic partnerships
Extensive leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing and motivating teams
Skilled in developing and executing strategies that align with business objectives and enhance client satisfaction
Consistent record of driving revenue growth and achieving targeted business outcomes
Job Expectations
For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.
Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$290,000.00 - $500,000.00
