Medical Assistant - Outpatient Office | Westchester County, NY

Are you a detail-oriented healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting? We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated outpatient care team in Westchester County, NY. In this role, you'll be essential to maintaining efficient patient flow, supporting physicians, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.

Escort patients to exam rooms and monitor wait times.

Assist patients in preparing for exams and notify physicians when ready.

Record patient complaints, medical histories, allergies, and vital signs.

Prepare and update medical records, including height, weight, and lab reports.

Ensure all lab and diagnostic reports are available before appointments.

Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam rooms.

Provide interpretation services and general clerical support.

Update patient insurance and demographic information in the EMR system.

Retrieve and file medical reports and lab results.

Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a healthcare or outpatient setting.

Proficiency in recording vitals and using EMR systems.

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience withEpicEMR.

Appointment scheduling experience.

Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment

Location: Busy outpatient office inWestchester County, NY.

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Patient Volume: Handle50-100 patients dailyin a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
