As a Senior Manager, Software Engineering in Customer Engagement Services Technology team, you will hire, coach and lead a software engineering team to build highly performant, highly available software products using Gen AI to help hundreds of millions of Walmart customers resolve their contacts, save time and money.
About Team: Customer Engagement Services Technology
The Customer Engagement Services Technology team builds best-in-class customer service experiences for hundreds of millions of Walmart customers and customer service agents globally. We are a group of software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts pushing the boundaries of Gen AI technology in complex enterprise applications. The Customer Engagement Services Technology team is part of the Enterprise Business Systems organization in Walmart Global Tech. We partner with our product, business and UX teams to drive significant measurable business impact. Our mission is to help customers save money and live better.
What you'll do:
Hire, coach and lead a high performing software engineering team
Collaborate with Product, UX and Business teams on roadmap development and prioritization.
Develop architectural vision for your teams systems and services, collaborating with principal engineers in the organization.
Drive the entire software lifecycle, from inception to launch, to deliver high quality products on time, on budget.
Own your teams operational excellence, develop and drive plans for quality and operational improvements.
Collaborate with multiple technology teams to ensure APIs and system interfaces are designed to meet the long term program goals.
Create a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, speed, innovation, and learning.
What you'll bring:
Have an entrepreneurial mindset that focuses on putting the customer first
4+ years of Software Development Management experience
7+ years of hands on software development experience
Proven experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineering teams
Proven experience in launching high quality, high availability software products
Proven experience in operating software products and drive incremental improvements in performance, quality, and availability
Expertise in software design and development best practices
Strong communicator in both verbal and written forms and are equally adept in communicating upwards, outwards, and downward
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A passion for data-driven decision-making
Preferred but not required: experience in launching successful Gen AI based software products.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
