About the Role: As an Assistant Revenue Controller at Thomson Reuters, you will support the Revenue Controller in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all revenue-related accounting and reporting processes. You will help maintain robust revenue controls, assist with financial planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement in line with Thomson Reuters' values of trust, innovation, and performance. Assist in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue results for all Thomson Reuters business lines. Support the Revenue Controller in ensuring compliance with IFRS GAAP revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15/ASC 606). Reconcile revenue accounts, identify discrepancies, and investigate variances in partnership with Finance. Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all revenue entries are accurately recorded in SAP and other finance systems. Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis, delivering actionable insights to business partners. Help prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal and external auditors during revenue-related audits. Maintain and enhance internal controls over revenue processes to align with Thomson Reuters' global compliance requirements. Support ongoing projects to improve revenue systems, processes, and data quality, including automation initiatives. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for management as required. Oversee and lead a team in performing accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments to support organizational goals and continuous process improvements. About You: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a large multinational or technology-driven company. Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles, especially IFRS 15/ASC 606. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP preferred. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and global environment. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and continuous professional development. Demonstrated experience in analyzing customer contracts and providing expert guidance on revenue recognition for diverse commercial offerings, in full compliance with IFRS 15/ASC 606 standards. Strong business acumen with a proven ability to interpret complex contract terms, assess their accounting implications, and ensure accurate and compliant revenue reporting. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $135,800 - $252,200.
