About the department:Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90
thpercentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.
A typical dayincludes:Assisting therapists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient therapy treatments utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment,and supplies to achieve intended outcomes.
Follows plans of care provided by therapistsand monitorand reportprogress
Communicates with patients and caregivers to provide clear directionson the use of rehabilitativedevices and equipment
Documents patientcare services with relevant and timely information
Prepares and maintains work spaces and equipment
This position is:Full-time, Mon - Fri, 7:30am - 4pm
Job Requirements:
Education:Completion of aPhysical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate'sDegree from an accredited institution
Experience:New graduates welcome; 1year of experience preferred
Skills:Patient care, problem-solving, customer service, and listening skills
Licensure/Certification:Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant Certificate
Physical:Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs.
