As an Administrative Assistant III at the Needham Cancer Center, you'll support a Harvard-affiliated, multidisciplinary oncology team that values both clinical excellence and work-life balance.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, daytime role with no weekends, holidays, or evenings - giving you the stability and predictability to thrive both professionally and personally. Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main administrative contact for assigned Hematology/Oncology providers and their patients

Manage clinical templates and physician schedules

Obtain referrals and authorizations for patient visits

Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and multidisciplinary appointment planning

Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families in person and by phone

Prepare medical records and documentation in Web OMR and CCC

Transcribe notes and correspondence

Queue prescription renewals and perform initial medication list reviews for provider review

Maintain patient confidentiality and accuracy across all documentation

What You Bring

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

3 to 5 years of administrative experience in a healthcare or medical office environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and electronic medical records

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion

Preferred:

Associate's degree

Familiarity with Epic, CCC, or similar clinical systems

Experience in oncology, specialty, or ambulatory care environments
