Physical Therapist (P.T.) Outpatient

Part-time

Work location: Texas Health Burleson, 2750 SW Wilshire Bldv., Burleson, TX 76028

· Physical Therapy Outpatient department

Work hours: Part-time: 24 hours/week, Monday-Friday outpatient clinic; Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8AM-6PM, and Tuesday/Thursday 7AM-5PM; Schedule varies either Monday, Tuesday & Thursday OR Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

Physical Therapy department highlights:

Outpatient orthopedic Rehab Services: with opportunity to treat general orthopedic non-operative and post-operative conditions, balance and conditioning, some sports medicine rehab.

· Located about 15 miles South of downtown Ft. Worth

· Facility dedicated to providing quality health care to residents of the Burleson, Joshua and Crowley communities.

Here's What You Need

· Bachelor's degree completion of a Physical Therapist program required.

· Outpatient experience is helpful, but none required.

1-2 years of Physical Therapy experience preferred

Physical Therapist with general orthopedic background preferred

Ability to perform hands on treatment and provide rehab programs preferred

· PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

· Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

· Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.

· Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

What You Will Do

· Texas Health Physical Therapists are responsible for using therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

· Performing treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license. Utilizing a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary, determining patient response to treatment and evaluates progress.

· Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

· Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

· Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

Motivate non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
