Verde Investments, Inc. engages in the acquisition, development and long-term investment in real estate and commercial assets. The Company offers a small, professional office environment where individuals that can work independently but ask questions when needed will thrive.

That's Nice, But What's the Job?

In short, we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role responsible for the monthly accounting of assigned entities.

In long, our Senior Accountant is responsible for:

Record daily cash transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations

Prepare monthly billings for related entities and lessees

Assist with coding and review of accounts payable invoices

Prepare month end journal entries and maintain supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts

Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze trend reports for accuracy

Prepare and distribute annual 1099 NECs for multiple entities

Act as liaison between Verde Investments and offsite accountants or management companies at various owned real estate assets

Calculate and file monthly sales tax reports

The Specifics.

3-5 years prior accounting experience

Proficient in various accounting systems

Strong Excel skills

Excellent attention to detail

Experience with small business accounting preferred

Ability to work independently

Communication skills are essential

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Basic knowledge of business taxes (i.e sales, excise and income tax)

Ability to prioritize/re-prioritize multiple tasks
