Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Seal Beach, California. Responsibilities You will provide technical assistance, guidance, and oversight for all security disciplines at the Seal Beach site. You will analyze security needs, plan, and direct the implementation of security measures for security or safety systems. You will recommend equipment, methods, procedures, and systems to maintain compliance and minimize risk. You will support the completion of personnel reports, manage foreign visitors, conduct exercises, and provide assistance for communications security. You will develop and implement specific guidelines to meet local requirements. You will plan, schedule, coordinate, implement and monitor the effectiveness of the operation for security programs. You will ensure access to classified information is limited to cleared personnel with a need-to-know access. You will ensure that threats to security and security incidents to classified information and controlled unclassified information are reported, recorded and coordinated with proper authorities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-03 (GS-9/10) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying physical security procedures and practices to evaluate security systems and devices to recommend improvements, and monitor the handling and safeguarding of sensitive materials in compliance with security guidelines and regulations.
