Job Title: Forklift Operator

Shift & Pay

1st Shift - 9.30am - 6.30pm - 18/HR

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator responsible for efficiently managing warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, maintaining finished goods, and adhering to company standards and regulations. The role requires cross-training within departments to ensure operational accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Receive and verify incoming parts for accuracy from vendors, update computer systems, and allocate them to appropriate warehouse locations.

Pick part orders using RF scanners and load them onto production carts from both low and high locations.

Participate in cycle counting programs, space consolidation, and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of inventory and warehouse facilities.

Cross-train within departments and assist in other areas as necessary while identifying and correcting potential errors by associates.

Adhere to company handbooks and departmental rules, ensuring respect and safety among employees.

Maintain warehouse equipment according to schedule and report any issues promptly, ensuring a neat and organized work area.

Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude and teamwork environment.

Participate in company-sponsored activities including suggestion programs and quality training.

Perform additional duties as required, maintaining respect for fellow associates.

Essential Skills

Experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts (1 year required).

Proficiency in packing and material handling.

Experience in shipping and receiving.

Competence in using RF scanners for inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift certification preferred.

The Buffalo Grove location is one of five in the US, with a division between manufacturing and production buildings. The facility operates with approximately 150 employees, ensuring an efficient and reliable workplace.

This is a position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
