About the Role
This position is responsible for supporting the safety and security of fleet operations across multiple transportation offices within a region. The role involves managing risks, safeguarding people and assets, and ensuring compliance with transportation safety and environmental regulations.
A key responsibility includes customer service support for the new regulation titled National Registry II (NRII). Effective June 23, 2025, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) implemented the NRII rule, which requires Certified Medical Examiners (CMEs) to electronically transmit DOT medical examiner results and certificates (MEC) to the FMCSA. These results are then forwarded to State Driver Licensing Agencies (SDLAs). This associate will work closely with safety offices and drivers to ensure medical recertifications are accurately and securely attached to driving records.
The position involves frequent phone communication, data handling, and a high level of attention to detail, particularly when managing secure and sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications
0 to 1 year of experience in a help desk or customer service environment
Familiarity with the medical field or transportation industry
Experience working with or knowledge of DMV processes is a plus
Background in a help-desk setting for insurance or healthcare organizations preferred
Ability to make outbound calls and communicate clearly and professionally
Strong organizational skills and experience with general clerical work
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, task-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive data

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
