Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable person to join our team in Columbia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in payment processing, and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a commitment to excellent service, and proficiency in financial tools.

Responsibilities:

Process credit card transactions, ensuring payments are secured prior to order fulfillment.

Monitor and hold orders that exceed credit limits until outstanding balances are resolved.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer payments.

Respond to customer inquiries regarding payments and account-related concerns.

Conduct weekly freight analysis by evaluating income and expense entries, identifying inconsistencies, and collaborating with relevant teams to address them.

Record journal entries and assist with the monthly financial close process.

Manage sales tax exemption certificates and process tax refunds when necessary.

Participate in special accounting projects as assigned.

Perform additional duties to support the accounting team.

Requirements

Experience in accounts receivable

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills for working with large datasets.

Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent teamwork and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
