Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Blue Ash, Ohio, for a Contract to permanent position. This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to oversee financial operations and contribute to the strategic growth of a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, cash management, payroll, and grant reporting.

Lead the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.

Manage banking relationships, cash flow, investments, and treasury controls to optimize financial resources.

Develop and implement financial benchmarks, forecasting models, and reporting standards to support short- and long-term organizational strategies.

Ensure compliance with federal and state grant requirements, tax filings, and regulatory standards, including Form 990 and 990T.

Coordinate and manage annual audits and financial monitoring reviews, providing necessary documentation and reports.

Establish and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Provide financial insights and updates to senior leadership and the board through detailed reporting, variance analysis, and forecasts.

Support and lead the accounting team, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.

Participate in strategic planning and leadership initiatives as an active member of the senior leadership team. Requirements - A minimum of ten years of accounting experience, with at least five years in a senior-level finance or accounting management role.

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.

Strong expertise in banking processes, financial data analysis, and grant compliance.

Proven experience in managing payroll, 401(k), and pension plans with a focus on process optimization.

Advanced knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entries.

Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of fostering trust and productivity within teams.

High level of integrity and ethical conduct in all financial and organizational dealings.
