Senior Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in accounting operations, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general ledger management and reconciliation tasks.

Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support the integrity of financial statements.

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accounting support and insights.

Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all accounting practices.

Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making processes.

Develop and implement improvements to accounting workflows for enhanced efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliation tasks.

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounting software and tools to streamline processes.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
