Medical Receptionist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in Walnut Creek, California. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while providing exceptional front desk support. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking and enjoy engaging with patients in a face-to-face setting.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for patients by warmly greeting them upon arrival and ensuring a positive experience.

Manage incoming phone calls efficiently, addressing inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate departments.

Handle patient check-ins and verify necessary information with accuracy and professionalism.

Collect payments from patients and provide clear explanations of billing procedures when needed.

Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar to optimize office operations.

Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold the company's commitment to exceptional service standards.

Utilize basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Ensure the front desk area remains organized and presentable at all times.

Assist with additional administrative tasks to support the medical office staff.

Operate a multi-line switchboard to manage phone communications effectively. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office or receptionist role.

Proficiency in scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars.

Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and administrative procedures.

Experience handling multi-line phone systems.

Ability to collect payments and explain billing processes clearly.

Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
