Grundfos is seeking an experienced Academy Technical Training Manager to join its Water Utility team. The Academy Training Manager will be focused on key applications involving Grundfos Submersible Wastewater Pumps and related accessories within the region, as well as being a trainer at the Grundfos University. This role is responsible for accelerating sales and ensuring customer satisfaction by providing extensive application and product knowledge. This role will promote crafting sales messaging related to the product, training the sales team, and serving as a liaison between product management and sales. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director and will operate daily on-site out of the Brookshire, TX facility Monday-Friday.
Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now or in the future.
Your main responsibilities :??
Gain in-depth knowledge of the product's features, capabilities, and competitive advantages, and effectively communicate this information to the sales team and customers.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills and support the training initiatives of Grundfos University as the Subject Matter Expert on Submersible Wastewater Pumps and related accessories in pumping applications.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop effective sales messaging that highlights the unique value proposition of the Grundfos Submersible Wastewater Pumps and accessories in key applications.
Create compelling sales materials, presentations, and demonstrations that effectively communicate the benefits and advantages of the products.
Provide guidance on effective sales techniques, objection handling, and value-based selling approaches.
Serve as the primary liaison for external training vendors, driving adoption of learning tools (e.g., Challenger), aligning with HR and L&D, setting annual roadmaps and KPIs, and evaluating program effectiveness across sales teams
Ensure the sales team can effectively communicate the technical aspects and value of the Grundfos Submersible Wastewater pumps and accessories to customers.
Serve as the bridge between product management, marketing and sales teams for effective communication and collaboration.
Gather market feedback for product development and enhancements.
Engage directly with customer to understand their specific needs and requirements while building and maintaining positive relationships with key customers.
Your background ?
We imagine that you have:?
A bachelor's degree in engineering, Business or related field, or a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical sales or an engineering role.
Proven experience in a similar, preferably within the Water Utility/Muni industry.
High level of technical knowledge, specifically around Municipal Applications.
Exceptional communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrable ambition, with a readiness to take on significant responsibilities and drive growth.??
Ability to travel 20%
