Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The primary role of a warehouse worker is to efficiently manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, equipment, and items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

Responsibilities

Handle materials, pick, and pack items with precision.

Operate equipment such as cherry pickers and reach trucks, spending 80% of the time on this equipment, and must be comfortable working at heights.

Utilize scanner guns and inventory systems to manage stock.

Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or via computer.

Pack and unpack items for shelving in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Verify inventory computations against physical counts and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

Organize and store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations in storage areas.

Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

Assist or direct other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Essential Skills

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for effective security operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.50/hr.
