Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Salisbury, Massachusetts. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term career development. The ideal candidate will support our accounting operations with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Utilize QuickBooks to manage and organize financial data effectively.

Code and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Assist with routine financial reporting and documentation.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting workflows.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and records.

Provide support during audits or financial reviews as needed.

Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems. Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations.

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks software.

Ability to accurately code and process invoices.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Effective communication skills for collaboration within a team.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
