This position is responsible for demonstrating the Value Story for new opportunities through developing innovative Go-to-Market Strategies and Business Plans. As Market Manager at the Helix Innovation Center, you will explore what it takes to bring new ideas to market in an industry experiencing little disruptive change over the last 100+ years. The strong, experienced, and dedicated cross-functional team at our Dayton, OH Innovation Center is looking to collaborate on opportunities that drive new value for Copeland.
AS A MARKET MANAGER, INNOVATION, YOU WILL:
Collaborate with other Helix Innovators to demonstrate a path to commercialization for disruptive products or services
Deliver evidence for business opportunities and the value story for game-changing solutions through designing and executing research
Develop and implement viable business cases based on customer desirable and technically feasible opportunities
Collaborate with Helix colleagues and Copeland business leaders to create alignment on innovation objectives
Enable the transition of front-end technology by meeting innovation objectives and aligning to Copeland strategy
Interpret market dynamics and industry trends to inform and influence Copeland's Innovation strategy
Nurture a marketing and voice of customer mindset into front-end development
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant Marketing and/or Entrepreneurial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Entrepreneurial or similar
Demonstrated leadership skills in a new product development environment, including a track record innovation programs that have gone to market
Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to apply creative thinking approaches (e.g. Design Thinking, Lean, etc.) to new problems
Demonstrated ability of integrating work across multiple functions and business units
Strong project management skills and the ability to work with both internal and external resources
Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellence at developing strong collaborative relationships
Demonstrated ability to navigate corporate culture and processes to drive results
Ability to travel 10-15% of your time

About Our Location
The Helix Innovation Center is a 40,000-square-foot facility located on the University of Dayton's campus in Dayton, OH. The Helix includes five, full-scale, simulated environments, including a working commercial kitchen, a two-story residential home, a grocery store, a data center, and a light commercial building. The Helix Innovation Center is advancing research and education for the global HVACR industry by simulating how our products directly impact the industry, and through our innovation and research. With a blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Helix Innovation Center location.
