Position Summary...
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager to join the Earnings Governance team within Walmart's Finance & Compliance organization. This role will support the implementation and oversight of governance processes related to earnings disclosures, financial reporting, and regulatory alignment. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational execution skills, a solid understanding of financial governance frameworks, and a desire to build scalable, compliant systems that support transparency and accuracy in earnings communication.
What you'll do...
Governance Monitoring & Readiness
Track and analyze changes in financial reporting standards, SEC regulations, and internal governance policies impacting earnings disclosures.
Support the development of strategies to address current and emerging governance requirements.
Conduct benchmarking and industry research to inform best practices in earnings governance.
Implementation Support
Assist in the operational rollout of new governance processes in partnership with Finance, Legal, and Investor Relations teams.
Help maintain a governance implementation roadmap and track progress against key milestones.
Coordinate documentation and review processes to ensure alignment with internal controls and regulatory expectations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Facilitate communication and alignment across Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and Compliance teams.
Prepare materials for governance updates, executive briefings, and internal reporting.
Support the development of solutions that balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency and business needs.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and controls to assess governance effectiveness.
Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for earnings-related processes.
Facilitate disbursement flexibility initiatives by managing day-to-day coordination with technology teams and external financial partners.
Leverage automation and digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce governance risk.
What you'll bring:
4-6 years of experience in financial governance, regulatory compliance, legal, risk management, or related fields.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret financial and regulatory requirements and translate them into operational processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working cross-functionally with finance, legal, or compliance teams.
Familiarity with financial compliance platforms, governance tools, or regulatory reporting systems.
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with financial data and reporting metrics.
