Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Finance leader to serve as the Finance Transformation Director for North America and LATAM. This role will lead and support key initiatives that strengthen our Finance capabilities and ensure consistent delivery of global priorities across the region. The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills, experience working across Finance functions, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
A Finance Transformation Director leads and implements strategic initiatives to modernize a company's finance function. This role focuses on improving financial processes, systems, and organizational design, often involving the adoption of new technologies and ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy. The Director also plays a key role in change management, guiding teams through transitions and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The Director will report to the VP, Global Tower Leader in the Transformation Office.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Finance Leadership:
Support the implementation of transformation initiatives within the respective region, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to manage change and realize value from approved initiatives
Partner with Finance Centers of Excellence and Market leaders to design and implement global processes that build capability, enhance operational effectiveness, and generate scale
Provide thought leadership to VP, Global Tower Lead on organization design and the activation of new ways of working, including governance, capability, and metrics
Align business objectives with the overall Portfolio/FinOps strategy for incremental long-term value creation
Translate strategy into initiatives that advance the maturity of the function
Support the selection and implementation of new financial technologies and systems while maintaining overall governance within the region to promote the standardization of tools
Support the reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking progress against transformation goals.
Project Implementation & Support:
Lead or support the implementation of transformation projects across the Market region
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and stage gate milestones to ensure successful execution across the Tower
Ensure cross-functional program alignment with SMEs, GPOs, Tower Leads, and IT
Monitor the Portfolio for the region to drive project progress, mitigate risks, and coordinate issue resolution across teams
Collaborate with various regional stakeholders, including finance teams, business units, and IT, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
Provide regular updates to key stakeholders to review project progress, resolve issues, and make key decisions
Support stakeholders on conceptual/ROI development in ideation phase/Shibumi QA
Support TO on building functional KPIs and success metrics to track value impact, analyze trends/drivers
Support VP, Global Tower Leader and PMO on reporting, heat maps, Tower meeting cadence
Regional Deployment and Engagement:
Facilitate working sessions and meetings with Finance and business leaders to align on future needs, solution design, and implementation plans
Lead and support the creation of workshops and materials to establish Brink's current and desired states
Coordinate with regional teams to facilitate the rollout of new processes and systems and transition of work activities within our operating model
Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies
Create and provide training and support to ensure smooth adoption of changes
Capture feedback from regional teams and share learnings to inform future enhancements
Provide expertise to the business as needed to solve problems, conduct gap assessments, and promote strong engagement with the Transformation Office
Continuous Improvement & Enablement:
Analyze current financial processes, identify areas for continuous improvement, and implement solutions for increased efficiency and digital automation
Partner with COEs and Markets on developing an opportunity roadmap for "what's next"
Conduct assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and recommend adjustments
Assist with mapping future state workflows, documentation, research, change management
Activate talent, skills, mindsets and behaviors needed through comprehensive training and new ways of working, governance, and metrics
Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the transformation team and finance organization
Key Qualifications:
Strong understanding of finance principles, accounting, and financial reporting.
Proven experience in leading and managing complex finance transformation projects.
Ability to effectively manage change and guide teams through transitions.
Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Confidence working in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed, and diverse environment
Strong business acumen with ability to understand sophisticated matrixes, environments
Strong familiarity with finance technologies including ERP systems and automation tools.
Effective consultation skills with the ability to influence leaders.
Highly collaborative and an ability to drive results.
Skilled in developing and demonstrating professional relationships with leadership, subordinates, and peers.
Ability to communicate fluently in English. Bi-lingual in (Spanish) is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
Previous experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10+ years' experience).
Additional Information:
Travel may be required depending on business needs (less than 25%)
