DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Equipment Operator A, your responsibilities will include operating vehicles and equipment with a gross vehicle weight of up to 32,000 pounds. You will be tasked with using vans, buses, and single-chassis trucks to transport patients, staff, and materials both on and off the hospital premises. Additionally, you will engage in construction and maintenance activities, as well as conduct safety inspections on the equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, working every 3rd or 4th weekend, with a 30-minute lunch.
Schedule may change based on operational needs
Overtime as needed
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Condition of Employment:
This position requires the selected candidate to obtain a Commonwealth Driver's License (CDL) within the probationary period.

This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
