About this Job
The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
The purpose of this position is to perform grounds keeping and custodial duties to help maintain cleanliness and a safe environment for the customers. This includes all rental facilities and grounds, including trails and beach area. This position will also assist in the front office such as checking in guests, handling forms of payment, assisting customers, and completing office paperwork.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Collects applicable fees from visitors and processes reservations.
Operates office equipment and computer programs.
Provides a high level of customer service and assists customers with inquiries.
Process office paperwork and reports.
Performs custodial duties necessary to maintain clean and sanitary conditions of park facilities.
Assists with maintaining park grounds such as mowing grass, collecting litter, removing limbs and debris, and emptying trash receptacles.
Clean bathroom facilities, cabins, meeting rooms, etc.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: South Toledo Bend State Park, in Anacoco, LA
Work Schedule: State Parks are open 365 days a year. Position will work a rotating schedule of 40 hours/week, that can include holidays and/or weekends as needed, to ensure coverage at the park.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a Park Technician A, B, or C. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. Travel: Position requires driving around the park as part of the daily shift. A state vehicle is available for employee use while on duty.
