Job Description

Turner & Townsend is hiring a QA/QC (Quality Assurance & Compliance) Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control efforts for a global high-tech client's data center construction projects. This role ensures that all construction activities meet client standards, and comply with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans aligned with the client's standards and industry best practices.

Establish quality benchmarks and ensure integration into project workflows.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities, including material verification and installation procedures.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Identify, document, and track non-conformances.

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Drive process enhancements using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.

Coordinate with construction managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment on quality expectations.

Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders.

Provide training and guidance on QA/QC procedures and compliance requirements.

Foster a culture of quality and accountability within project teams.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Prepare and present quality performance reports to project leadership.

Compile and deliver comprehensive quality control turnover packages.

Collaborate with commissioning teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.

Stay current with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA) and technological advancements in data center construction.

SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years in QA/QC, construction management, or related field.

Experience with data center or critical infrastructure projects preferred.

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar is preferred.

Strong understanding of construction processes, MEP systems, and quality control methodologies.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven leadership and team management capabilities.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
