Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Largo, Florida. This position is ideal for professionals experienced in managing financial operations and handling high-volume transactional data. You will play a key role in supporting the finance team during a critical software transition while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in daily bookkeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.

Maintain and update general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial records.

Perform journal entries and conduct thorough bank reconciliations.

Assist in migrating financial data from Syspro to QuickBooks while ensuring data integrity.

Collaborate with the finance team to streamline workflows and optimize accounting processes.

Review and organize paper receipts and high-volume financial documentation.

Support the finance manager in setting up and configuring QuickBooks.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during all financial operations.

Provide hands-on assistance with routine bookkeeping tasks as needed.

Generate financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping.

Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

Proficiency in bank reconciliations and managing high-volume financial transactions.

Familiarity with accounting software, including Syspro and QuickBooks.

Ability to work onsite with occasional hybrid flexibility as needed.

Excellent organizational skills to handle large volumes of financial paperwork.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Effective communication skills to collaborate within a finance team.
