Job Summary and Qualifications

This is a Full Time Day Shift position with rotating weekends. Hours will vary between 6:00am - 10:30pm and will be 8-10 hour shifts *

The Supervisor of Pharmacy Technicians will directly supervise and assist the pharmacy technicians and other support staff effectively. IV room experience is required.

What You Will Do In This Role:

Accountable for managing the day to day activities of the technician staff, providing staff development, and evaluating the level of technician performance

The technician supervisor, under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist, will assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department when necessary

All activities are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and are carried out in the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration

Work with the manager to establish pharmacy goals and objectives and responsible for implementation and monitoring

Act as manager in charge as assigned

Manage technician scheduling, staffing and payroll procedures

Maintain quality improvement

Maintain a comprehensive training program for pharmacy technicians

Hire, train, and provide orientation to new employees.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Performs a variety of complicated tasks

Leads and directs the work of others

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function

Perform other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

High School diploma or GED required

TX Pharmacy Technician Registrations

Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required

Minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience

IV Room experience required
