We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our client's team on a contract basis in Cerritos, California. This position requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual to lead and oversee the accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and team supervision, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervise AP Associates and oversee accounts payable daily AP operations across multiple entities. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes for multiple entities collaborating with AP Associates to meet all deadlines. Supervise AP invoice processing cycle, including 3-way matching and payment disbursements, to maintain smooth and efficient AP operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Supervise the full cycle AP process of invoice receipt, validation, approval, GL coding, and payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

§ Lead and supervise a team of AP Associates, ensuring the team meets performance expectations and daily and month-end close deadlines; approve invoice payments .

§ Provide training and ongoing support to AP Associates to help enhance their skills.

§ Monitor daily AP operations and resolve any issues related to the AP process.

§ Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper 3-way matching.

§ Help to resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase order, and receiving reports/packing slips.

§ Ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end AP closing processes and deadlines.

§ Assist AP Associates as needed to address vendor inquiries, resolve invoice or payment disputes, and ensure vendors are paid according to contract terms.

§ Prepare and review AP Aging Reports and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve overdue or disputed invoices.

§ Continuously evaluate and improve AP processes and controls to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize fraud risks.

§ Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and internal controls.

§ Provide timely and accurate bank and AP reporting, help to manage cash and wires, ensure all bank accounts are funded for weekly wires, analyze data and prepare reconciliations.

§ Safeguard organization's financial data by keeping information confidential.

Requirements

Minimum education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

3-5 years of accounting experience

Minimum 3-5 years of computerized accounting experience

At least 3-5 years in a supervisory or staff management capacity
