JOB OVERVIEW
The Revenue Account is responsible for managing all billing activities related to Terminal Company operations, ensuring accurate and timely billing in compliance with customer contracts. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, including revenue analysis, reconciliation, and journal entry preparation. The Revenue Accountant collaborates closely with terminal personnel, Contract Administration, Commercial, and IT teams to maintain billing accuracy, resolve customer disputes, and support revenue reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is a list of essential duties of this position.
Analyze monthly guaranteed revenue to account for any changes in the contracts or with the customers to ensure proper billing
Collaborate with terminal billing personnel to coordinate end-of-month invoicing activities.
Post all billing entries into Workday and, when necessary, input billing data directly for terminals.
Conduct month-end revenue reconciliation to ensure all income is accurately recorded.
Perform fixed and ancillary revenue variance analysis at month-end. Prepare re-class and accrual journal entries when required.
Liaise with customer service and IT as it relates to Workday Contracts and the terminal data systems.
Provide insight and direction to the Contract Administrator, Commercial, and Terminal Administration for any billing and contract questions.
Assist with terminal billing assessments.
Resolve customer disputes with Commercial and Terminal Administration.
Review aging to identify potential delinquent customer accounts. Communicate with Commercial regarding collection issues and provide an aging summary, including notes to the senior management.
Initiate collection calls on delinquent accounts.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries. Send out the month-end reports as needed.
Reconcile chargeback and revenue balance sheet accounts.
Coordinate with Contract Administrator and Commercial on new contracts or amendments.
Assist the Contract Administrator in ensuring all new customer contracts and amendments are accurately recorded in the Workday Contracts module.
Maintain good working relations, act professionally, and positively represent the Company.
Take the initiative to identify problems, use judgment to find appropriate solutions, and follow through on resolving issues promptly.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other related field of study preferred.
Minimum of two years of accounting experience
Workday experience preferred, including the Workday Contract Module
Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Index, Sumif, PivotTables).
Knowledge of accounting principles and ability to accurately apply and use financial and accounting concepts.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to effectively present information, communicate with, and respond to questions and complaints from co-workers, management, clients/tenants, public groups, and the public.
Attention to detail.
Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
