Patient Services Representative

Location: Queenstown, MD

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Entry Level

Shift: must be flexible to work between 7am-5pm, Fridays 7am-3pm

Pay: $17 - $18/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Services Representative to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is essential to ensuring a seamless patient experience from registration to billing, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Direct patient registration, insurance verification, billing, and collections to ensure accurate billing and efficient account management

Apply broad knowledge of front office practices and procedures, including use of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system

Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance practices and procedures

Assist with billing-related issues and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Answer telephones and support patient check-in/check-out as needed

Direct patient inquiries to the appropriate provider

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Provide assistance to other office staff as needed

Maintain excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, coworkers, and the public

Uphold patient confidentiality and perform related duties as required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
