As a Legal Assistant your responsibilities will include but aren't limited too:

Organize and manage incoming and outgoing mail to ensure timely distribution and response.

Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed to support daily operations.

Keep the office environment structured and well-organized for maximum efficiency.

Assist with the filing of legal documents, including Delaware-specific filings.

Utilize case management software to track deadlines, manage case details, and update client records.

Support billing functions by using tools such as Aderant and CompuLaw to process invoices and track payments.

Manage calendars for attorneys and staff, ensuring all appointments, deadlines, and meetings are accurately scheduled.

Handle claim administration tasks and communicate with clients to address inquiries and provide updates.

Prepare and edit documents using Adobe Acrobat and other software tools.

Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and office procedures.

Requirements

The ideal Legal Assistant candidate will have the following:

Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within the legal industry.

Proficiency in software tools such as Aderant, CompuLaw, Adobe Acrobat, and case management systems.

Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) and other legal filing systems.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and team members.

Experience with Delaware-specific legal filings is highly preferred.

Ability to manage billing functions and handle claim administration tasks effectively.

High attention to detail and accuracy in managing legal documentation and deadlines.
