The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of manufacturing processes. This role involves managing a team of production workers, maintaining quality control standards, and ensuring workplace safety guidelines are adhered to. The supervisor is also responsible for improving productivity and optimizing the production line to meet company goals. Assures production output supports the production schedule and meets all applicable quality requirements Promote an environment of employee empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement through lean principles, compliance, quality, personal growth and development. Identifies opportunities for process improvement using problem solving methods to continuously improve quality, safety and efficiency of workplace. Provide coaching and mentorship to assigned teams and other Supervisors. Responsible for evaluating employee performance and opportunities for improvement, as well as all disciplinary actions up and including termination. Lead Tier Meetings to facilitate communication and problem solving between support team members. Participate in capacity planning by scheduling production areas, ensuring adequate staffing, verifying adequate material supply and adjusting Kanban levels. Monitors manufacturing area supplies and equipment and initiates purchasing requests as needed. Supports company policies and procedures in the area of plant safety and housekeeping Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures Works outside of or in addition to core shift hours to support off shift as necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned What it takes 5+ years of relevant manufacturing and/or operations management experience Experience in Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement, Problem Solving, A3, DMAIC Experience leading in a culture that values diversity , equity and Inclusion.
