Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting compliance efforts. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented and have a strong grasp of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Accurately input financial data into accounting systems to ensure timely and precise recordkeeping.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice and payment management.

Reconcile bank statements and verify financial transactions to maintain accuracy.

Generate financial reports, such as trial balances and summaries, to support organizational decision-making.

Assist in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements.

Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Provide documentation and support during audits to facilitate smooth compliance processes.

Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve payment discrepancies and clarify financial matters.

Collaborate with other departments to gather and share necessary financial data.

Handle cash deposits and receipts, ensuring proper documentation and verification. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.

Strong understanding of accounts reconciliation, payable, receivable, and invoice processing.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Problem-solving abilities and basic mathematical skills.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in accounting is preferred.
